ANGIER – The NC Department of Transportation has started replacing several stop signs that were vandalized. Within the past week, someone spray painted graffiti on numerous stop signs in the West Johnston community in southwestern Johnston County and a few in the edge of Harnett County.
The NC DOT says if they can’t remove the graffiti they will replace the sign. In this case, crews started Tuesday replacing the damaged signs.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office has been notified of the damage.
