SELMA – The Max G. Creech Selma Historical Museum will be hosting a Veterans Day program on Sunday, November 14th at 2:00 p.m. The event is entitled 1941: A Year That Changed The World.
The program will look at the year 1941. The discussion will focus on the historical background associated with 1941 and the United States entry into World War II after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Program coordinator Eric Jackson said, “This event lead’s off our 10th Anniversary Celebration. Over the next year the museum will be hosting events and historical programs to celebrate our 10 years of helping to tell the story of Selma and its residents.”
“2021 marks 80 years since the Pearl Harbor attack. We wanted to honor the lives lost and look at the significance of the day from 80 years out,” he stated.
The Veterans Day program will be held at the museum located at 104 West Anderson Street in Selma. The program is free and open to the public.
