Wal-Mart Employee Arrested For Theft

A former employee at a Johnston County Wal-Mart is facing a felony theft charge.   On August 24th, loss prevention at Wal-Mart on Highway 42 in Cleveland reported an employee had placed $150 on a VISA gift card but failed to pay. Afterwards the employee reportedly failed to show up for work for their next shift.

On August 27th, Smithfield Police arrested Ashleigh Nicole Browning 28, of the 3400 block of Crocker’s Nub Road, Kenly on a felony warrant from the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office charging her with felony larceny by an employee.

Browning was taken before a magistrate then jailed in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
