Criminal charges have been filed against a 26 year-old Johnston County woman who allegedly shoplifted kids toys, baby and women’s clothing at the Wal-Mart on Highway 42 in Cleveland last Thursday.
Around 12:40pm, Wal-Mart loss prevention reported the suspect entered the business and filled a shopping cart with toys and clothes before pushing the cart out the front door without paying. An employee took a photo of the suspect’s car and wrote down the license plate number as she left the parking lot.
Using that information, Johnston County deputies said they located Angela D’Nichol Mason at her home on Pleasant Pine Drive, Angier a few hours later. Mason allegedly confessed to taking the merchandise.
She was charged with misdemeanor larceny and released on a $500 bond. The stolen items valued at $162.80 were recovered by deputies and returned to Wal-Mart.
