Walmart Employee Charged With Theft

An employee at a Johnston County Walmart store has been arrested on larceny and obtaining property by false pretense charges.

The alleged incident happened March 27th at the Walmart at 5141 Highway 42 West in Cleveland. It was reported to law enforcement on April 8th.

Walmart loss prevention personnel reported that a customer service manager allegedly took items from a return bin and rang up the merchandise. The employee then placed a $42.61 credit on a Walmart gift card then used the gift card to buy assorted grocery items.

Stacie Danetta Williams, 28, of Morehead Drive, Willow Spring was arrested Monday by Johnston County deputies and charged with the two felony offenses. She was transported to the Johnston County Jail where a magistrate set her bail at $10,000.
