Walmart Shoplifting Suspect Charged With Habitual Larceny

27-year-old Shakendra White of Four Oaks is charged with shoplifting from Walmart in Clayton.

Walmart’s Loss Prevention team notified Clayton Police of the shoplifting offense around 8 p.m. Sunday.

White and another woman tried to walk out with items from the store, but when approached, cooperated with the Loss Prevention team and later with Clayton Police, allegedly admitting to taking two packages of toilet paper and various baby care items, including baby wipes, baby bottles, baby bibs and a nursery kit. The total value of the items was $149.69.

White has previous larceny offenses in Alamance County so she was also charged with habitual larceny.  White is pregnant and was given an unsecured bond. She was scheduled for a first appearance today (Monday) in Johnston County District Court.
