Warrant: Woman Left Threatening Voicemail For County Employee

SMITHFIELD – A Johnston County woman was arrested after she allegedly left a threatening voicemail for a Johnston County employee. Amanda Anderson Sharek, 23, of Princeton-Kenly Road, Kenly was served with a misdemeanor warrant on December 22, 2021 for communicating threats.

A day earlier, on December 21st, Sharek reportedly called the Johnston County Child Support Office in Smithfield and left a voicemail message for an employee.

According to the arrest warrant Sharek allegedly stated, “There’s an alien and angel invasion passing out death warrants. I see you and everyone in that courthouse, might wanna be careful where you step, boom boom.”

The warrant stated the threat was made in a manner and under circumstances which would cause a reasonable person to believe the threat was likely to be carried out and the person threatened believed that the threat would be carried out.

The incident was investigated by a detective with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office before the warrant was obtained. Sharek was released on an unsecured bond.
