Three people were arrested after the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office began pursuing a stolen car. On Monday, ACE Team deputies were patrolling on Highway 111 South when a deputy attempted to stop a car for a safe movement violation.
The driver refused to pull over. A pursuit lasted 11 miles reaching speeds of up to 113 miles per hour. Deputies were able to deploy stop sticks to puncture the tires on the fleeing vehicle. Officers later determined the car had been reported stolen in Durham.
Brandon Carroll Grady, 42, of Albert Grady Road, Mount Olive was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, fleeing to elude arrest and felony parole violation. He was held without bond at the Wayne County Detention Center.
Richard Morris Sanderson, 43, of Kelly Road, Mount Olive and Ashley Nicole Parks, 27, of Highway 111 South, Seven Springs were both charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle. They were given $5,000 bonds.
