Wayne County Schools To Host Virtual Job Fair

Wayne County Public Schools (WCPS) will hold a Virtual Job Fair May 12-14 for prospective employees. On Tuesday, April 30, the school district launched an online registration form which will allow interested candidates to register for a ten minute one-on-one session with a WCPS recruiter in the area of their interest. The form is available on the district website, www.waynecountyschools.org.

“We encourage qualified applicants with an interest or desire to work in our schools to register online,” states Dr. Yvette Smith Mason, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources & Professional Development. “We will have HR, departmental, and school administration representatives on hand to answer questions about qualifications, salaries, and benefits for all positions. We will also walk prospective employees through the application process.”

This is the first year the district has held a Virtual Job Fair. Candidates who lack online access to register can access Internet resources at one of the local public libraries or at NCWorks. WCPS will also have a kiosk available at the WCPS Central Services located on Royall Avenue.
