WCSO: Kenly Woman Gave Fake Name During Traffic Stop

A Kenly woman is facing felony charges following a traffic stop on Highway 117 in Wayne County. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) said an ACE Team deputy conducted a vehicle stop on March 8th for a traffic violation.

Bailey Mechelle Young, 27, of S. College Avenue, Kenly was allegedly found to have methamphetamine in her possession. Young reportedly gave a fictitious name to officers in an attempt to avoid being served with outstanding arrest warrants.

Young was charged with felony meth possession, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and giving fictitious information to a law enforcement officer. She was released on a $5,500 bond.
