A Wake County woman was arrested Friday after she allegedly threatened to kill a Johnston County deputy and later damaged the windshield on his patrol car.
Around 4:45am, deputies responded to a convenience store parking lot on Highway 210 at Interstate 40 for a report of a woman passed out in the back seat of a car. EMS workers were able to awaken the woman but she refused to go to the hospital. The woman, later identified as 20 year-old Skyler Morgan Brooks of Garner, refused to give officers her name.
At one point she allegedly threatened to kill the officer. Brooks was asked to contact a relative on her cell phone but instead dialed 911. Later she had to be physically restrained and while in a patrol car kicked the windshield causing it to shatter.
Brooks was charged with communicating threats, damage to property, consuming alcohol under age 21, and misuse of the 911 system. She was booked into the Johnston County Jail under a $7,500 bond. Damage to the patrol car windshield was placed at $400.
