Women Arrested For $25.91 Diaper Switch

Two women were arrested Friday for a diaper switch that netted them $25.91 from the Clayton Wal-Mart.

Clayton Police say store surveillance video revealed the women removing diapers from the store shelves and then returning them as if they were purchased in order to get the cash.

Police said 24-year-old Kadisha Ray is a cashier at the Smithfield Wal-Mart and 24 year-old Tanisha Mckey is a Food Lion deli worker in Smithfield.  Both have Smithfield addresses.

The store loss prevention specialist said he recognized the two women from previous incidents and that review of cameras confirmed his suspicions. The women were able to be stopped in their car in the parking lot of the store and arrested.

Ray and McKey are charged with Obtaining Property by False Pretense and Felony Conspiracy. They were being held at the Johnston County Detention Center under a $40,000 secured bond.
