Update: Police Identify Worker Killed At Clayton Plant

UPDATE 5:00PM April 17 – Clayton Police have identified the victim as 22 year-old Bibiana Areilano Delabra of Middlesex.

CLAYTON – A worker was killed Saturday at a facility in Clayton. Emergency personnel responded this afternoon to Northeast Foods, also known as Automatic Rolls of North Carolina, located at 68 Harvest Mill Lane.

A 22 year-old female employee was believed to have been working under a large industrial mixing machine, about the size of a car, when it fell on her. Johnston County EMS attempted life saving measures but they were unsuccessful.

Clayton police detectives are investigating. The Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) has also been notified about the workplace death.

Police said the incident appears to be accidental.

The name of the woman killed has not been released.

According to their website, Northeast Foods is one of the largest suppliers of buns, rolls, and bread products in the United States.
