A man was found dead inside Walmart in Smithfield early today (Thursday). EMS and police responded to a report of an unconscious person in the Walmart restroom around 12:20am. When they arrived they found a 29 year-old man not breathing. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Authorities said there was no indication of assault, injury or foul play. The name of the individual has not been released.
The body was sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.
