The NC Highway Patrol is investigating a three vehicle accident that sent one person to the hospital.
The wreck happened around 12:20pm Monday at the intersection of Highway 39 and Highway 231 in northern Johnston County.
A purple Jeep and a tractor trailer collided in the intersection. Another vehicle stopped at the intersection was struck by the Jeep following the initial impact.
