Update: Troopers Identify Victim In Fatal Crash

Update 9:50pm – The NC Highway Patrol has identified the victim killed in the crash as Amber R. Dennison, 54, of Clayton. The car was being driven by 19 year-old Noah J. Credle of Clayton. Dennison’s daughter, Cameron K. Cunningham, was a front seat passenger.

Amber Dennison was a rear seat passenger.

Credle and Cameron Cunningham were transported to Wake Medical Center with serious injuries. Troopers said speed was not a contributing factor. All the occupants appeared to have been wearing seat belts.

ARCHER LODGE – A single vehicle accident in northern Johnston County on Thursday claimed one life and seriously injured two others.

The wreck was reported at 1:38pm in the 14000 block of Buffalo Road near Archer Lodge.

A white passenger car ran off the roadway and struck a tree.  A back seat passenger died at the scene.  The driver and a front seat passenger were transported by Johnston County EMS to Wake Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the NC Highway Patrol.
