1 Person Killed In Speed-Related Accident

SAMPSON COUNTY – The State Highway Patrol says speed was a factor in a single vehicle traffic accident. It happened at 2:00am Saturday on NC 24, one mile east of Autryville, near Horseshoe Road.

Troopers said a 2012 Chevy Tahoe, driven by Brianna M. Boone, age 28, of Rose Hill, NC was traveling east on NC 24 at approximately 100 miles per hour. The SUV ran off the road on the right, reentered the highway out of control, ran off the road to the left, and overturned multiple times, ejecting the driver.

Boone was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.

The accident was investigated by Trooper A.C. Hall.

  1. So, what have we learned? Don’t go over the speed limit more than 4 mph. To drive crazy fast is just plain crazy!

    • This my cousin who passed… nobody asked for your opinion on what you “learned”.. things happen. Additionally, you never know what could have been going on to cause her speeding.. don’t act like you’ve followed all the rules your whole life.. now carry on and if you ain’t got nothing heartfelt to say, don’t say nothing at all, STEVE.

  2. You have really got to be an ignorant human being to get up here and say anything like that after someone has lost there life. May God have Mercy on your soul.
