14 Year-Old Accused Of Making Threats Against Middle School

Goldsboro Police announced Friday a 14-year-old male juvenile student from Dillard Middle School has been linked to a threat of violence against his school.

On Thursday, school administration at Dillard Middle and Goldsboro Police were alerted about the alleged threat made on social media.  In conjunction with the help and cooperation of the juvenile suspect’s parents, involuntary commitment orders were secured for the 14 year-old. The orders were served without incident by the School Resource Officer assigned to Dillard Middle School and the juvenile was taken to a medical facility.

In addition, a juvenile petition will be filed through Juvenile Services on the student in regards to the threats at a later time, pending completion of a medical evaluation.
