The Johnston County Planning Department has approved 19 new subdivisions in the first two months of 2019.
In January and February, 5 major subdivisions and 14 minor subdivisions were approved. The five major subdivisions total 179 lots. The 14 minor subdivisions total 26 lots.
Combined that’s 205 new residential building lots. That’s 25 lots more than the 180 that were approved in the first two months of 2018.
In a report from Planning Director Braston Newton to County Commissioners, Newton said the County has a total of 11,770 building lots approved waiting for construction.
