197 Marijuana Plants Found In Wooded Area
The Sampson County Sheriff’s Office seized marijuana with a street value of nearly a half million dollars on Wednesday.
Authorities released details about the incident on Friday. Officials said 197 marijuana plants were found growing in a wooded area near Rowan Creek Lane outside of Clinton. The plants were about 4 feet high. The estimated street value was $492,500.
An anonymous tip led deputies to the plants. No arrests have been made but the grow operation is still under investigation.
