2023 Back To School Youth Explosion

CLAYTON – The Johnston County Community Back To School Youth Explosion Committee, comprised of civic and nonprofit organizations, local businesses, and faith organizations, will hold their 10th Annual Backpack Giveaway Sunday, August 13 from 2:00 – 5:00pm at Clayton High School, 600 S. Fayetteville Street, in Clayton.

This will be an in-person event where students can receive free haircuts and hair braiding on a first come, first served basis, as well as food.

Other vendors include the Johnston UNC Health Bus, CommWell Dental Bus, and the Johnston County Health Department.

The event is free.
