$220,000 Cash Found During Traffic Stop

$220,000 in cash was discovered inside a Food Lion bag after a K-9 alerted on a car during a routine traffic stop on Thursday.

A Harnett County deputy stopped a 2007 Nissan passenger car on Christian Light Road near Fuquay-Varina earlier today.  A K-9 alerted to the vehicle and during the search, 22 bundles of cash was found in a Food Lion bag in the back seat.

Sanchez Rosales Arturo was identified as the driver and Antonio Duque Camacho was identified as the passenger.

A records check of the two individuals revealed Camacho was wanted by Immigration authorities as a Deported Criminal/Aggravated Felon who has reentered the USA illegally.

Camacho was transferred to the custody of immigration authorities today for federal processing.

The money was turned over to federal DEA agents.
