23 DWI Arrests Made In Enforcement Campaign

JOHNSTON COUNTY – A multi-agency special operation resulted in the arrests of 23 motorists in Johnston County for driving while impaired.

The State Highway Patrol, NC Alcohol Law Enforcement, Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, NC License & Theft, and Johnston County District Attorney’s Office participated in the special operation Friday night, August 30. The enforcement effort involved saturation patrols and random checkpoints.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) supported the event and provided a meal to officers before the operation began.

In addition to the 23 impaired driving arrests, 32 people were charged with various drug violations, two wanted persons were apprehended, and two guns were seized, during the enforcement operation.

  1. Buffalo road between highway 70 and Fire department rd and Live Oak Church rd has turned into a racetrack for people driving and a nightmare for everyone that lives there. How about some focus on the community as well.

  2. Well done! Don’t break the law and you won’t get in trouble! Pretty simple. DWI’s are 100% preventable!!!!
