For the third time within a week a home invasion has been reported in Johnston County.
The latest incident occurred Saturday night in the 4700 block of Devil’s Racetrack Road outside of Four Oaks. A couple in their 60’s were inside their home around 9:30 pm when someone forced their way inside and at gunpoint stole a TV set and some money.
The suspect was only described as a black male armed with a handgun. The home invasion occurred next door to where a residential break-in was reported last week, but authorities don’t know if the two crimes are connected.
On Jan. 25th a home invasion was reported on Camden Place Street near Princeton and on Jan. 26th another incident was reported on Loop Road near Clayton. All three crimes are being investigated by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.
