CLAYTON – A Buffalo Road head-on crash on Saturday afternoon sent three people to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Witnesses said a red Toyota Camry was traveling south on Buffalo Road, pulled out to pass slower vehicles, and collided with a northbound blue Dodge Charger, just north of Byrd Road.
The driver of the Toyota and two occupants of the Charger were all taken to Wake Med.
Buffalo Road was shut down for nearly two hours as a result of the crash.
The State Highway Patrol investigated the 2:30pm accident.
Wilson’s Mills Fire along with four Johnston County EMS ambulances responded to the scene.
