CLAYTON – A three-car rear-end accident on Buffalo Road at Clark Pond Road damaged three vehicles and sent all three drivers to the hospital.
Just before 4:00pm Wednesday, a northbound vehicle was stopped waiting to turn left onto Clark Pond Road. Two other vehicles stopped behind the turning car. A white pickup truck did not stop and slammed into the red Ford Bronco which in turn struck the green Subaru.
The two people in the Subaru had just moved to Johnston County from Florida and closed on their new home today. “This has turned into a very bad day,” said the passenger in the Subaru.
The Highway Patrol cited the driver of the pickup truck.
Northbound traffic was detoured onto Byrd Road for over an hour.
