PRINCETON – Three young teens, all looking forward to their Friday night Princeton High School prom, were involved in a rollover wreck in eastern Johnston County just before Noon today (Friday).
The wreck involved two Ford pickup trucks at the intersection of Woodard Road and Baker’s Chapel Road southwest of Princeton.
The male driver of a two-month-old dark gray Ford F-150 pickup, who had a female passenger, reportedly pulled into the path of a female driving a champagne color F-150 truck at the rural intersection. The champagne truck struck the gray truck in the side causing it to overturn.
First responders found all three accident victims outside the mangled trucks when they arrived. They were treated at the scene by Johnston County EMS paramedics for minor injuries but were not transported to the hospital. Family members of the victims rushed to the scene.
The Brogden Fire Department and NC Highway Patrol responded.
Charges are pending.
