Deputies are searching for three suspects following a CraigsList robbery. It happened just before midnight Tuesday in the parking lot of a motel on Cleveland Crossings Drive at the Highway 42 / Interstate 40 interchange in Johnston County.
A 28 year-old Raleigh man said he agreed to meet someone to purchase an iPhone he saw for sale on CraigsList. When he arrived he was approached by three white male suspects. Two of the men were armed with guns. One was believed to be armed with a taser. The suspects demanded the victims money, and also took two watches, two cell phones and his wallet. Altogether the victim was robbed of $3,165 in cash and property.
The suspects were last seen fleeing on I-40 towards McGee’s Crossroads in a dark Jeep with body damage.
