SELMA – Selma Police and the NC State Bureau of Investigation have arrested three suspects in connection with the shooting death of a Selma teenager. Seventeen year-old Rayeshawn Hodges was gunned down September 29, 2021 on S. Raiford Street.
Police Detective J. Vause said Wednesday that two juveniles and one adult have been charged with murder.
Yamez Bennett, 21, of Selma is in the Johnston County Jail being held without bond. The two juveniles, both under age 18, are in a juvenile detention facility.
Detective Vause said future arrests are possible.
Police said they are still trying to determine a motive.
