301 Endless Yard Sale Rescheduled To 2021

SELMA – Organizers of the 301 Endless Yard Sale have announced the event will not be held in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The 301 Endless Yard Sale happens annually on the third weekend in June and was founded in Selma. it is currently organized and hosted by a variety of towns located along US 301 in the counties of Johnston, Halifax, Wilson, Nash, and Harnett. Along the 100-mile plus stretch of highway, the event historically offers yard sale items, antiques, collectibles, DIY furniture, crafts, and more. This would have been the 8th year of the sale.

The five tourism authorities from each of the participating counties made the unanimous decision to postpone the sale to next year after discussing the timing of the sale, the crowds it draws, and the current statewide ban on mass gatherings.

The 301 Endless Yard Sale has been rescheduled to June 18-19, 2021 – which is the yard sale’s regular date pattern. The committee considered rescheduling to a late summer date in order to still have the sale in 2020, but the three-phase plan timeline from the Governor for larger gatherings is still unknown and the logistics of the sale means that only very specific dates will work.
