After compiling reports from towns and vendors who participated in this years 301 Endless Yard Sale, numbers show that the event continues to grow. Not only did Johnston County businesses and vendors report record sales this year, other counties stretching from Halifax to Harnett reported a positive numbers.
This was the third consecutive year for the event. Many vendor locations are starting to see repeat vendors who return every year. Non-profit vendors, like schools and churches selling vendor space and food, estimated higher amounts of money raised this year than in the past.
Organizers of the event discussed concerned about the hot weather and possibly selecting another date. However, rescheduling to another weekend was ruled out because of numerous conflicts.
The 2016 Endless Yard Sale will be held June 17th-18th with possible expansions into Cumberland and Robeson counties next year. The 301 Endless Yard Sale is organized by a regional committee made up of representatives from Halifax, Nash, Wilson, Johnston, and Harnett counties.
