SMITHFIELD – A van and passenger car collided overnight on Interstate 95 in Smithfield. The accident was reported just before midnight Wednesday near the US 70 Business Exit.
After the impact the van overturned in the southbound lanes facing north. The passenger car came to rest in the median.
Four people received minor injuries.
One southbound lane was closed until the scene could be cleared. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the State Highway Patrol.
Im glad everyone will be ok. I sure hope they will post what caused the wreck after the investigation.
