Only minor injuries were reported following a four vehicle collision Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 95 near Kenly.
The crash was reported in the southbound lanes near the 106 mile marker.
A car, SUV, pickup and tractor trailer collided. The injured were transported to the hospital in three ambulances that responded to the accident shortly after 12 Noon.
Traffic was backed up for several miles until the damaged vehicles could be towed away and the roadway fully reopened about an hour later.
