Nash County authorities have arrested 41 people in Operation Dismantle.
The Tar River Regional Drug Task Force consisting of the Nash County Sheriff’s Office, Nashville Police Department, Spring Hope Police Department, Tarboro Police Department, NC Probation and Parole, NC SBI, NC ALE, and Drug Enforcement Administration participated in the undercover operation.
Operation Dismantle is focused on the apprehension of individuals that are engaged in the illegal distribution and sales of heroin, cocaine, and other controlled substances.
Sheriff Keith Stone said, “We will continue to proactively address the gun, gang and drug issue to include heroin, cocaine, and other controlled substances all which are negatively affecting and putting our children and youth in our community at risk”.
During the operation, 215 grams of cocaine, 7.85 grams of heroin, 8 oxycontin pills, 11 grams of marijuana, and a 9mm firearm were seized.
