Two new homes under construction near Clayton were vandalized over the Labor Day Weekend.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office said homes under construction on Saddle Court near Clayton were damaged.
In both cases, vandals spray painted obscenities on the garage doors, entry door and windows. They even spray painted a section of the roadway in front of the homes.
Similar vandalism was discovered over-the-weekend on Flower Hill Road near the Johnston-Wilson County line. Authorities have not said if that may be related.
Investigators are searching for 4 to 5 suspects last seen operating an older model 4 door car, possibly a Toyota Camry.
The two homes vandalized were owned by Cumberland Homes and Weaver Homes both of Fayetteville.
