The Sampson County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Department of Homeland Security have seized 5 kilos of cocaine. Authorities said they were investigating a drug complaint at 6715 Ebenezer Forest Road and obtained permission to search the residence. During the search, the large quantity of cocaine was located along with cash and a shotgun.
Amandeo Correa, 31, and Gloria Sanchez, 30, both of 6715 Ebenezer Forest Road, Clinton, were charged with trafficking cocaine and maintaining a dwelling for the storage of a controlled substance.
Both suspects are being held in the Sampson County Jail under a $2 million bond each.
