Five people were injured in Johnston County Sunday afternoon at the same intersection a deadly crash had occurred just 2 hours and 15 minutes earlier.
A fatal motorcycle wreck occurred at 10:45am on US 301 at Bagley Road between Micro and Kenly.
Around 1:00pm, just a short time after emergency crews cleared from the scene of the fatal wreck, a black SUV and white SUV collided at the same intersection.
Five people in the SUV’s were transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the NC Highway Patrol.
