The 50-210 Fire Department will borrow $167,000 to pay for a new 2018 Ford F-550 4×4 Mini Rescue Truck.
The purchase was approved by Johnston County Commissioners at their October board meeting.
First Citizens Bank was the low bidder for the loan at 2.14 percent interest for 5 years. Once built and delivered the new rescue truck will be placed at the new 50-210 Station #3.
