An estimated $5,000 worth of copper ground wiring was stolen from a Clayton-area cellular phone tower Tuesday morning.
Deputes responded to a burglar alarm at the tower site in the 3000 block of Jack Road around 2:00am.
Authorities discovered where someone had cut a hole in a fence to gain entry and then open a door to the building. An estimated 400 feet of copper was removed.
