The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is searching for suspects wanted for questioning in connection with six business break-ins minutes apart Friday morning.
Around 3:50am, deputies responding to an alarm, discovered a break-in at the Highway 55 restaurant on Bratton Drive at the I-40/NC42 interchange. A front glass door was shattered and the suspects stole a safe containing an undisclosed amount of money.
About 15 minutes later, deputies responded to 5 business break-ins in the Food Lion shopping center on Neuse River Parkway off Highway 42 East. The intruders broke front glass doors or windows to gain entry into the Subway, Roma’s Pizza, Flowers Nail Salon, Crayton Manor and Jumbo China. Cash or other property was taken from all the businesses.
Surveillance cameras captured four suspects in an older model white Ford Mustang fleeing from the scene of the Neuse River Parkway break-ins. Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Caldwell asks anyone who has any information about the six break-ins or the identity of the 4 suspects to contact investigators at 919-989-5000. Callers can remain anonymous.
