WENDELL – A 72 year-old Raleigh man was injured in a moped accident in northern Johnston County. The accident happened around 3:20pm Sunday, on private property, in the 3100 block of NC Highway 231, Wendell.
The victim was operating a moped at approximately 30 miles per hour on a private dirt path when the moped overturned, ejecting the man.
He was transported to WakeMed for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
