$8,500 In Art, Memorabilia Stolen

SELMA — A Selma-area resident reported that several valuable items were stolen from his shed after a vehicle crashed into the structure earlier this month.

The crash occurred when a vehicle ran off Lynch Road and struck a shed on the property. The damage prevented the building from being secured immediately.

Sometime afterward, the resident discovered that three Thomas Kinkade paintings, a signed Muhammad Ali photograph and collectable submarine memorabilia had been taken. The items were valued at about $8,500.

The initial crash was investigated by the State Highway Patrol but the theft occurred sometime afterwards.

The case remains under investigation.
