Accused Gunman Indicted In Attempted 2018 Business Robbery, Shooting
A Johnston County Grand Jury has indicted a 21 year-old man on four felony offenses stemming from last year’s attempted robbery of a Cleveland used car lot.
On October 5, 2018, three people went to E-Zee Auto at 12450 Cleveland Road, Garner in an attempt to rob the business. During the holdup, an employee, 30 year-old Isai Ntrenganya of Knightdale was shot. He ran across the street to the parking lot of a dentist office where he summoned help. Ntrenganya was treated and later released from the hospital.
Scott Lee Bridges of Wayne Drive, Raleigh was arrested in March. This month, a Grand Jury in Smithfield returned a True Bill of Indictment against Bridges charging him with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, conspiracy to commit assault with a deadly weapon, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Bridges is the first suspect to be apprehended and indicted. The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office continues to search for the two remaining suspects.
