The Johnston County Adopt-A-Cop group sponsored a relief drive at Powhatan Elementary School on Tuesday morning. They repeated the event this morning (Thursday).
Students, parents and school staff brought relief supplies to Powhatan Elementary School as the “Johnston County Adopt-A-Cop” organization began filling one of at least two trailers which will be delivered to areas in Eastern North Carolina.
They had planned to fill a Johnston County Sheriff’s Office patrol car with supplies but the response was so great that they have had to load trailers, instead.
Jaime Ackley, Vice President of Johnston County Adopt-A-Cop, said they had a great turnout. Photos by John Payne
