The Johnston County aerial spraying for mosquitoes project was completed Monday night, according to Johnston County officials.
As recovery efforts to Hurricane Florence continue, neighboring counties may be operating out of the Johnston Regional Airport near Smithfield in the coming weeks for their aerial spray programs. Should this occur, citizens may see airplanes used for mosquito spraying in Johnston County air space in transit to other counties in our region to assist with their aerial spray projects.
