In honor of Eastern North Carolina healthcare workers battling the COVID-19 pandemic, F-15E Strike Eagles from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro will be conducting a special tribute on Friday.

4th Fighter Wing pilots plan to conduct a flyover to show their support and appreciation to first responders and medical workers.  Residents looking up at the sky should be able to catch the flyover safely from their neighborhood.

Air force F-15E jets are scheduled to fly over Johnston Medical Center in Clayton at 10:16am and Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield at 10:18am Friday.  Pilots will also flyover Wilson Medical Center in Wilson, Vidant Medical in Greenville, Lenior Health in Kinston, Onslow Memorial in Jacksonville and Wayne Memorial in Goldsboro.

Residents are asked to adhere to local and state guidelines for public gatherings and social distancing.  Citizens are also asked not to travel to hospitals to view the flyovers as it could hinder emergency vehicles from traveling to the emergency departments.
