Alien Indicted On Reentry Charges

A federal grand jury in Greenville, NC has indicted Ramiro Cortez-Rodriguez, 39, of Mexico with Illegal Reentry of a Deported Alien.   Cortez-Rodriguez was found recently in Johnston County.

If convicted of illegal reentry of a deported alien, Cortez-Rodriguez, previously deported 5 times, would face a maximum penalty of two years’ imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, and a term of supervised release following any term of imprisonment.

The case is being investigated by ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operation and Homeland Security agents.
