Angier Man Faces Felony Charge After Attempted Home Break-In

BENSON, N.C. — A 41-year-old Angier man has been charged after authorities said he attempted to break into a vacant home that was listed for sale in Johnston County.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office arrested Shannon Lee Jackson, of Abattoir Road in Angier, on July 31.
According to investigators, Jackson allegedly went to the vacant residence on July 30 and attempted to gain entry into the home. The residence was unoccupied and listed for sale at the time of the incident.
Jackson was charged with felony attempted breaking and entering and misdemeanor second-degree trespassing.
Following his arrest, Jackson was confined in the Johnston County Detention Center under a $15,000 secured bond.
