Johnston County deputies said they found cocaine on an Angier man being arrested Wednesday on felony charges.
Officers went to West Road near the Johnston-Harnett County line looking for 36 year-old Bobby Dale Townsend II to serve a warrant for breaking and entering, larceny, and larceny of a firearm.
Townsend was found near his house riding a bicycle, according to Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Caldwell. While taking Townsend into custody officers allegedly found a small amount of cocaine in his pocket.
Townsend was also charged with felony possession of cocaine. He was given a $60,000 bond on the burglary and theft warrants plus an additional $10,000 bond for the cocaine charge.
