DUNN – Dunn police arrested a Selma woman for assault with a deadly weapon following a Sunday morning domestic road rage incident on Interstate 95.
A 911 call to Harnett County Communications Center from a desperate husband alerted law enforcement to an active incident of road rage in the southbound lanes of I-95 at 7:48 a.m., Sunday.
Dunn police Officer Norwood A. Blanchard was dispatched to investigate a “raging driver” in a black 2024 GMC Sierra K2500 truck, who was “constantly ramming” into the rear of her husband’s silver 2024 Chevrolet Silverado pickup.
The dispatcher told Blanchard she could hear the sounds of the GMC hitting the Chevrolet as the trucks passed mile marker 72, according to Blanchard.
The officer said he observed the two from his vantage point as they approached exit 71 (Longbranch Road). “I observed the silver Chevrolet Silverado making contact with the black GMC Sierra. However, due to traffic conditions, I was unable to maneuver to catch up to the vehicles,” Blanchard wrote in his report on the incident.
The Dunn officer continued to attempt to overtake the trucks. “By the time I reached mile marker 69, I had lost visual contact with both vehicles and requested Harnett County E911 to relay this information to Cumberland County, as I was unable to pursue further.”
Deputies with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office later observed the trucks traveling at a high rate of speed and brought them to a stop at mile marker 46 on I-95.
A Cumberland County lieutenant called Blanchard to the stop at 8:50 a.m.
The husband and driver of the silver Chevrolet, 43-year-old Ricardo Ramirez, told Blanchard, “his wife had struck his vehicle with her vehicle several times while he was on the phone with the initial 911 operator.”
Blanchard observed obvious damage to the rear of the Silverado from the alleged ramming.
When interviewing Ana Sanchez, 38, of Selma, Blanchard said she allegedly admitted to “using her vehicle to strike her husband’s vehicle multiple times due to anger…” The officer also determined that Ana Sanchez had no valid driver’s license.
Ana Gabriela Ruiz Sanchez, 38, of Phillips Road, Selma, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon and no operators license.
I wonder why she didn’t have a driver’s license. Why do people drive illegally?
We are being overrun by immigrants who do not respect our laws and do not follow them.
How do people like this get late model, expensive vehicles and can’t even take care of them, but use them like a demolition derby?
People shouldn’t just judge other people without knowing the full story.
I know she does not obey laws, drives without a license, and tries to harm someone in particular as well as many others on the highway. What’s in your wallet? I see you don’t want to be known by your “unknown” name but have much to say.

How is asking a question judging her? She put herself on display so I think it’s a legitimate question.

Plenty of other people that are US Citizens also drive with Revoked licenses and DWI all the time! So! Shut up about immigrants! If you don’t like the Hispanic people then stop eating at their restaurants and stop eating the crops that they pick and stop living in the houses that they built! Have some respect and sense when you single out a race when your own also does the same sh** or even worse!
ALL that money they make and SOMEHOW the women & children are on medicaid & food stamps while driving new vehicles. Shopping at Walmart paying a few hundred in cash then whipping out that EBT card. I worked at Walmart so don’t say this is not true. Oh Western Union, they make enough money to send home to their families BUT again, that food stamp card. THAT is NOT acceptable!! It’s robbing tax payers and AMERICA.
